What is ARTOGRAPHY?
ARTOGRAPHY is a national, competitive grantmaking program offered by Leveraging Investments in Creativity that supports the activities of small and mid-sized arts programs across the U.S. The goals of this program are to recognize, strengthen, and reflect on exemplary and diverse artistic and organizational practices as seen through a lens of changing demographics. Additionally, ARTOGRAPHY places emphasis on the various aspects of documentation that capture lessons and reveal greater appreciation for the national field of arts.
For additional information about the program and its history, please see About ARTOGRAPHY.
How many ARTOGRAPHY grants have been given so far?
In the first cycle of ARTOGRAPHY nine organizations were awarded general operating grants. Additionally, four organizations received capacity grants because their work was considered consistent with the goals of the program and addressed discipline areas. Please visit the Grantees page on our website to learn more about past ARTOGRAPHY grantees.
How can I get involved in this community?
In launching the second cycle of ARTOGRAPHY, we have an opportunity to delineate new language, structures, practices and models that have the potential to reframe national conversations and policies concerning the arts and their support systems.
Through the use of technology, we want to engage the field to drive the evolution of artistic practices in response to changing demographics, as well as the language and documentation that describes those practices.
